38 Weeks!!

Ok... I feel like an idiot posting this picture...  First of all, it's not taken with a nice camera or iphone (gasp!) and I match my bathroom and the lighting sucks and I know Matt will make fun of me for taking a self-portrait.  But, for the sake of not feeling guilty that I took zero pictures of this pregnancy, I will sacrifice my embarrassment!
And just a note, I don't think it's weird that other people post their maternity pictures or take them.. just when I do it haha.

There it is in all it's glory.  Only 2 more weeks!!
-So I set my induction date for my due date- September 7th.  Love that I just put in my planner "Really having a baby today."  Unless I go early.  Please bless my water doesn't break at church or anywhere but home for that matter!
-I went in for my NST the other day and stayed for over 3 hours.  Baby was moving too much and they couldn't get a baseline heart rate.  The time before baby wasn't moving enough and so I stayed for an hour so they could get the same information.  I don't want to be dramatic or anything but I HATE these.  I love and appreciate the technology we have and all the nurses and doctors at the hospital are super nice, but I honestly feel like this has been over the top.
-I should say that Matt has been AMAZING during this pregnancy.  With Aubree, we were psychos to each other during pregnancy and after, but this time around we are totally chill.  If he has a concern, he approaches me perfectly (because let's be honest here, I'm not in love with being told I'm doing something wrong/what to do.  My bad.. working on it).  Anyways, I love that guy and appreciate everything he has done for me!
-I'm trying to get in as much time with Aubree as possible.  I told Matt the other day that I'll probably start bawling when she comes to visit us at the hospital and then has to go.  Just thinking about it makes me want to die!  As much as we drive each other crazy sometimes, she is little buddy.
-We have a name.. Olivia Marie :)
-Can't wait to meet this new little one!!  Say a prayer for us that Aubree Grace feels the same!

One more St. George trip

We went to St. George again before baby comes.  Matt's brother, Ryan, is officially done with pharmacy school and threw a party.. complete with a blow up bouncy house and blow up water slide.  Ryan and Joy mean business when they have a party, it was so fun!  The kids were entertained the entire time and had a complete blast.  Thanks Ry and Joy!!

Other activities included swimming with my family, going through the Temple with my little brother for his endowments.. which was a wonderful experience, lunches and shopping.  Another quick trip but so much fun!

35 and 37 Weeks

-35 Weeks-
I can't believe I will have another baby in like 5 minutes... it's a little surreal!  I am honestly so excited though.  I know it will be insane and I will be sleep deprived and hormonal and everything in between, oh and have an Aubree Grace to take care of too, but having a new little baby in your home is an amazing feeling.
-I called it!  I'm doing a non-stress test once a week.  I know ultimately it's my decision whether I want to do these or not, but after a lot of thought, I'll just keep going.  If they say 2 a week.. that's a whole other story.  NO WAY.
-Basically, baby is doing great, just little things they want to make sure won't affect her.
-I have a feeling my doctor will induce me a week early with this one.  To be honest, I would love that!  My plan everything-to-death personality would much appreciate it, but I'll be fine either way.. maybe!
-I'm measuring right on track now and my fluid levels are good.
-Baby still moves all the time.

-37 Weeks-
I feel like I have been pregnant forever!  I'm feeling pretty ready.  I have everything I need, now it's just trying to maintain a clean house and get a few more projects out of the way.  Here is what's new this week..
-Nights are really uncomfortable now.  I wake up a couple times and feel like if I move at all I will have a baby!  If you know me, you know my sleep is very precious to me so I'm a little bugged that I am not sleeping great knowing that I won't sleep great for the next however long!
-My feet are swelling a little but not too bad.
-I have a lot of braxton hicks contractions.
-Baby is really low.. so not fun on my hips and pelvis.
-The more I think about being induced a week early, the more I don't know how great of an idea it is.  I'm going to talk to my doctor about even inducing me on my due date... Like I said before, I would love to know exactly when this baby is coming but after talking to some family members, we kind of wondered if Aubree would have been bigger and nursed better if she went to 40 weeks.  I'm starting to think that it would be best to go all the way to my due date if everything is checking out ok.
-Overall, I feel ok for being extremely pregnant, but I won't tell you I'm comfortable.  I'm pretty done actually :)

I keep putting off taking an actualy belly picture... There are pictures here and there on our blog of me and they are not cute.  So I guess maybe taking an actual good picture (if there is such a thing as a good picture of a full term pregnant woman) might do me some justice.

Gak Recipe and Sidewalk Paint Recipe

This is for you Melis!

And anyone else who wants it- the Gak has lasted us forever, like over 3 weeks.  I keep it in a tupperware and it has still been good.  It cost me about $4 ish to make.. I think it's so funny when looking at craft blogs or something and the writer says "It only cost me $5!"  Well, some of us don't have yards and yards of scrap fabric lying around or a giant craft room full of paint and supplies and left over wood pallets to make a bedframe... but I digress.

What I'm trying to say is, if you need to by these supplies, it really is cheap.

GAK

Supplies- Two 4 ounce bottles of Elmer's glue
1 tsp. Borax (found in the laundry section)
                Food coloring of your choice

Empty glue into a bowl.  Fill the empty glue bottles with warm water, shake, and empty into bowl full of glue.  Add food coloring, stir, and set aside.
Put 1/2 C of warm water into a plastic cup and add 1 tsp. of Borax; stir to dissolve.
Add the Borax water to the glue mixture and stir.  It will be kind of stringy but continue to stir with your hands and it will become the consistency of Gak in a couple minutes.  So easy!

SIDEWALK PAINT

Supplies-  Muffin tin
                 Food coloring
                 Cornstarch

Fill each muffin tin cup with 3 tbl. of cornstarch, 2 tbl. water, and 3 drops of food coloring.  That's it!  Use a little brush outside and let your kiddos paint to their hearts content.

I wish I could remember the sites I got these on- I hope it's not a blog law to not post the link!
Enjoy!  We sure have!
