Easter Weekend

We spent Easter in St. George and had so much fun!  We started the weekend off with a trip up to Gunlock to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.  The next day we celebrated Easter with the Wiest's and also had the incredible opportunity to be a part of Ellie's endowments that night at the temple.  It has been awhile since Matt and I have been able to get to the temple and it was such a great experience.  I couldn't help think how amazing it was that all of us were able to be in the temple together for Ellie and Ian.  It was a busy and crazy day with Easter stuff and wedding planning, and that night at the temple was what we all needed!

Sunday we spent Easter with my family.  My mom is obsessed with holidays and always makes them fun for us.  We hunted for our baskets, went to church, and ate a yummy dinner.  LOVE this time of year!  We had a great weekend!

IT'S A....

GIRL!!

When I was pregnant with Aubree, I knew 120% that we were having a girl.  This pregnancy I had no idea!  We had our follow-up appointment with the specialist today at 18 weeks.  Pretty much everyone in our family was convinced we were having a boy, but Matt was convinced his life is going to be full of Barbies, dress-ups and drama... and he was right!  We were so excited though and couldn't wait to tell Aubree she was going to get a little sister!  I don't know how much she gets it, but we talk about the baby in Mommy's tummy every day, but I'm thinking once baby is born it's going to rock her little world.  We are so excited for another little girl!

What's going on at the Wiest House...

Blogging is number billion on my list of things I want to do lately.. obviously with the lame posts and hardly any pictures!  But Spring is on it's way, I'm feeling really good, and we have been having fun playing outside and taking our little trips to St. George.  Like I've said before.. April is MY FAVORITE!  No more bare trees and yellow lawns!  Anyways, here's what we have been up to lately:

-Fun St. Patrick's Day party over Spring Break- my mom and sister Madison came up for a couple of days while my other sister was in Europe (whatever..).  We had a great time with them here!
-The next week I left Matt and went down to St. George for Ellie's bridal shower and Juli's birthday.  We are all so excited for our Ell Bell to get married in a couple weeks!  We also got to play with the Losee family now that Jen and the kids are back from Ohio for good- so happy!!  We had a blast!
-And we are off in 2 days to head back to STG for a wedding in a week!
-Pregnancy is going really well so far.  I'm 18 weeks and feeling good!  We found out today what we are having... I'll do a separate post for that :)
-Matt is at school all day and works at night which hasn't been as horrible as I thought but some days are better than others.  Basically my wonderful Zander neighbors hear the chaos at our house and come to my rescue sometimes.  Bless them.
-We have been enjoying the great weather and love playing outside and going to the park!

This hardly happens...

But when it does, we take advantage of it!

Discovery Gateway

After being stuck in the house because of the weather and me not feeling so great, we were ready to get out and play.  Matt got home from work and we headed to Salt Lake to go eat and let Aubree play at Discovery Gateway.  She loved it, but it was a rip off!  If you get a pass it's a great deal, but not really worth it for us since we don't live that close to it.  We still had a fun little family night!

Firestation

I was able to set up a little playgroup date at the Provo Firestation just down the street from our house.  Aubree was so excited whenever she saw a fire truck, as most kids are!  The kids had a blast and thought the trucks were so cool.

Valentines Cookies

We were in St. George over Valentine's day, and I took 3 pictures of the whole week we were there.  My first trimester wasn't bad, I was just so exhausted and lazy, which explains my absense from the blog and my lack of picture taking.  Anyways, Aubree loves helping me make cookies so it was fun to make our Valentine's cookies to deliver to our families.
