Happy Birthday Aubree Grace!

We had such a fun birthday weekend for our 2 year old!  First, Aubree's Meme came to stay with us for a night to help kick off the celebration.  We loved having Juli here- we went to Tucano's on Friday night, came home, talked most of the night and played games.  Saturday Aubree opened her presents from Juli.  It was a quick trip but we had a great time and are so glad Meme took time out to come up to see us!!

My family came up the day that Juli left to join in on the birthday fun.  My brother, Taylor, lives up here (and I cannot tell you how much I love it that he is here- he has been so helpful and Aubree adores him!) and his birthday is the end of January, so we celebrated a little for him too.  We went to dinner, watched movies and of course had a party for our baby girl.  I couldn't help feeling so, so happy that Aubree has family members that adore her and take time to make her feel special.  We have amazing parents and siblings!!  Loved having my family here and had such a great time with them!

{Waking up Sunday morning.. we had a surprise in her room for her...}

{BOONS!  She is obsessed with balloons and played with them in her room for almost an hour that morning!}

We opened presents before church and later that night we had the Zander's over along with our family and made my mom's famous spaghetti for dinner and had cake and ice cream.  Aubree was beaming the whole day; she loved it all!!  She got such fun toys and was surrounded by people that are pretty obsessed with her!
{Aubree in her new wagon from Grammy and Grampy!  She loves it- and my sisters taught her how to say "Holla!" with the raised hand flick and all, hence the picture}

{I hope my cupcake creation doesn't end up on Cake Wrecks.. this was quite an accomplishment for me so I'm proud of the way her caterpillar cake turned out.. but just in case you can't tell what it is, I put the book up for a reference!}

Happiest 2nd birthday to our Aubree Grace!

Our 2 Year Old

{January 15, 2012}
-We took Aubree to the doctor for her 2 year wellness check a couple weeks ago.  Here are her stats:
29 lbs (80%)
35 inches long (80%)
19 inches head circumference (60%)
-She is so full of personality and attitude!
-She's been putting "lily" at the end of a lot of words- blankalily, libalily, I can't think of the other ones right now.
-We love to watch Tangled, Jake and the Pirates (Peter Pan, haha) and Beas...T.
-If there is a word with a T at the end, she leaves the T off the end until she says the rest of the word, hence Beas...T.
-Her favorite toys and things to do right now are to color, play with stickers, play with her dolls and babies, loves stuffed animals, playing with her plastic animals, dress up and taking bubble baths.
-She hates clothes on her barbies and baby dolls.
-Her hair is getting out of control!  We really need to trim it!
-She loved her birthday!  She talked about cake and presents for days after.

She will always be our baby girl!  Love you Aubree!

Snow!

We woke up to snow last Saturday morning!  We bundled up and went outside to let Aubree play in it for the very first time.  She was a little nervous at first but eventually loved it.

{We ate snow for the first time}

{And made a snowman}

{Please look at how stupid I look}

It only stuck to the ground this one day, but it was a little exciting!  First (and maybe last) snow of the season.  My snowboarding husband is not happy about this.
We had a fun day in the snow!

Dance til your feet fall off...

The Zander's had this severed foot in their Halloween storage bin.  Ethan thought it would scare Aubree, but she grabbed it and would not stop playing with it!  We danced around to our usual Tangled songs with the foot for about an hour.  Haha- gross, huh?

Merry Christmas Again

Monday we had all the Wiest family over to exchange our sibling gifts.
Once again, Juli spoiled all of us!  This is such a great holiday :)
More importantly, and something I need to remember all year long,
is why we celebrate Christmas.  Christ is the reason we have this special holiday
and that we get to spend it with our families.  I am grateful for our Savior and for
my husband's family, my immediate family, and Matt and my baby girl.

{Winner of best present goes to Mark.  No other person would appreciate bottom-less long johns more
than Mike}

Merry Christmas!!

We were really looking forward to this Christmas with Aubree.
We knew she would love it.
Before opening presents, we do our gift to Jesus and read our "gifts" we wrote
the previous year.  I love this tradition and will continue it with our family.
We opened presents and got such fun things.
After presents, we had breakfast (you'd think all we did was eat all weekend.. which is slightly true)
and went to church.  Juli got us some awesome gifts that we love!  Thanks Juli!
Did I mention we forgot our camera again?  Who forgets their camera on Thanksgiving
and Christmas?! So we get iphone pictures.  Better than nothing!

{We were very excited about our White Cheddar Cheetos}

{Wow these are not great pictures..}

After church we went to my families house to hang out for a bit and open some more presents.
Aubree is the only grandchild on my side of the family, so needless to say she is spoiled freaking
rotten!  We have to make sure not to tell our other kids someday
that Aubree killed it at Christmas every year!  My mom and dad got us all some awesome gifts as well
and we love them all!

{Chair! How darling is this?  It adds a lot to the middle of our living room.. because that is the only
place we have room for it haha.  Aubree loves it}

Our families are so amazing... We had such a wonderful day with all of them and are thankful
for the time and effort they put in to make sure we all had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We had such a blast this year with the Wiest family.  All the kids played NON STOP.  It was so fun to see Aubree and her cousins play.  She keeps talking about playing with those "guys."  We had a delicious appetizers and treats and the kids acted out the Nativity.  Juli is such a wonderful mom/grandma- she loves having all the family around and makes everything so fun.  Thanks for delicious food and keeping the Wiest traditions alive!  We missed the Losee family so much (only 4 1/2 more months til they are done with law school!!) but still had a great time!
