Merry Christmas Again

Monday we had all the Wiest family over to exchange our sibling gifts.
Once again, Juli spoiled all of us!  This is such a great holiday :)
More importantly, and something I need to remember all year long,
is why we celebrate Christmas.  Christ is the reason we have this special holiday
and that we get to spend it with our families.  I am grateful for our Savior and for
my husband's family, my immediate family, and Matt and my baby girl.

{Winner of best present goes to Mark.  No other person would appreciate bottom-less long johns more
than Mike}

Merry Christmas!!

We were really looking forward to this Christmas with Aubree.
We knew she would love it.
Before opening presents, we do our gift to Jesus and read our "gifts" we wrote
the previous year.  I love this tradition and will continue it with our family.
We opened presents and got such fun things.
After presents, we had breakfast (you'd think all we did was eat all weekend.. which is slightly true)
and went to church.  Juli got us some awesome gifts that we love!  Thanks Juli!
Did I mention we forgot our camera again?  Who forgets their camera on Thanksgiving
and Christmas?! So we get iphone pictures.  Better than nothing!

{We were very excited about our White Cheddar Cheetos}

{Wow these are not great pictures..}

After church we went to my families house to hang out for a bit and open some more presents.
Aubree is the only grandchild on my side of the family, so needless to say she is spoiled freaking
rotten!  We have to make sure not to tell our other kids someday
that Aubree killed it at Christmas every year!  My mom and dad got us all some awesome gifts as well
and we love them all!

{Chair! How darling is this?  It adds a lot to the middle of our living room.. because that is the only
place we have room for it haha.  Aubree loves it}

Our families are so amazing... We had such a wonderful day with all of them and are thankful
for the time and effort they put in to make sure we all had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We had such a blast this year with the Wiest family.  All the kids played NON STOP.  It was so fun to see Aubree and her cousins play.  She keeps talking about playing with those "guys."  We had a delicious appetizers and treats and the kids acted out the Nativity.  Juli is such a wonderful mom/grandma- she loves having all the family around and makes everything so fun.  Thanks for delicious food and keeping the Wiest traditions alive!  We missed the Losee family so much (only 4 1/2 more months til they are done with law school!!) but still had a great time!

Dinner with Friends

I love that my friends try to get together every year!  Now that we have people in Texas, St. George, Arizona, and Provo, it's especially fun to see everyone!  We missed Andrew and Nikelle and their new sweet baby and also Garrett, Shell and baby Julia :( but we still had a great time!  We had yummy soups and treats and had fun catching up.  Thanks Kitchen fam for hosting!

All About Aubree

{23 months old}

-What a character!! She is so full of life and personality.
-She carries her "oumes" (animals) everywhere.. the little tiny plastic ones.
-She repeats everything we say.  She says so many words now.
-She still has conversations with us that are complete jibberish though.
-She loves all the Christmas lights and is upset if our tree isn't turned on.
-She loves the moon.. we have to look at it forever every night.
-Aubree loves to Skype our families.  She will say "Hello Meme/Grammy" if she wants to
see them.
-She is terrified of time out!  We put her in her rocking chair for like 30 seconds when
she was being naughty and completely fell apart.  If she is being naughty we just say
"Do you want to go on time out?" and she looks right at us and says "NO" and then
she does what we say or stops being bad.  Haha- we have to be careful not to over use this
tactic.
-She loves playing with her toys.  We have seen her imagination
really grow.

{She sat like this for a good 5 minutes.. she is so funny}

{Sorry this is so blurry but she was cruisin' around the mall with her little stroller!  It was so funny!
The cloth part tore but she still loves it}

{So sleepy.. she didn't get a nap before church}

Most of our pictures of her are action shots and blurry because she is always on the go!
She is so much fun and makes us so happy.  LOVE YOU BABY!

4 Years

Matt and I celebrated our anniversary on the 15th.  I'm not one to get cheesy about Matt on the blog, but if you know me, you know Matt is perfect for me.  I have never been so consistantly happy before.  Anyways... I got home from work and was greeted with flowers from my Aubree and Matty, we went to Tucano's for dinner that night (and had a little friend tag along with us.. she was actually so good!) and walked around looking at the lights at the Riverwood's shops.  Simple, but as we chased walked around with Aubree and each other, I couldn't help think how wonderful my little life is.

Happy 4 years!!!

Temple Square

We went to Temple Square on Saturday with the Zanders and Matt's mission buddy, Jon Anderson his cute wife Ashton and little London.  We went to dinner before hand at a magical place called Red Ginger (Sushi.. amazing sushi.. for $4?  YES. Thank you Andersons').  The waiters and waitresses were funny though.  I asked for a high chair for Aubree, they brought me one, and Aub didn't want to get in it at first, so the waitress pulled out a sucker.  Aubree reached for it, but the waitress shoved it near her mouth, pulled it away and patted on the seat for her to sit down before she was allowed to get a sucker!!  We got her in the chair and then the waitress was trying to put the sucker in her mouth and was all up in Aubree's business.  I looked at Ashton and we started cracking up- seriously?!  Anyways, it was really great food and we had so much fun chatting with everyone.  Jon witnessed our engagement so we are all pretty tight :) It was so great to catch up with them.
Temple Square was insane.  So many people, but it was still really fun.  For years there was a recording of Matt's grandpa narrating the Nativity, but they must have changed it recently.  Luckily I've heard it before.  I love the atmosphere at Temple Square and love this time of year!
Thanks Zanders and Andersons for joining us!!

Christmas Lights

Matt and Ethan put our lights up on the house!
Aubree loves lights and wanted to go outside and help,
so I bundled her up and we headed outside..

{Cutest girl ever.. I love her round little face!}

And the finished product...

... Just in case there was any confusion on who lives where.

Happy Birthday Matt!

Today is Matty's 26th birthday!  We love birthdays at our house.  After I got home from work I wanted Matt to open his presents right that second but he wanted to shower and shave first.  Seriously?!  You have been talking about your birthday since summer time and you want to shower first?  I got a kick out of that- anyways, he got some fun stuff from his cute mama, my mom and dad and me and Aubree Grace.  I made the requested ribs for dinner and we had some of his friends over for cake and rootbeer floats.  Pretty chill day, but we had a great time!

{Typical Matt.. basketball shorts, old family reunion t-shirt, and weird pose.  Love him.}

{Attempted and failed at getting a birthday kiss}

Happy birthday my love!!!  We love you!!!
