Polka Dot Party

{January 15, 2011}

This day was a little rough on me. Aubree was such an angel.. which made it harder, if that makes sense :) My baby is not 5 pounds and a cuddle bug anymore. She is 22ish pounds and extremely independent! HOW did that happen?! Although I was sad to see my little girl growing up, she is a blast and really, the love of our lives. Anyways, her party was so much fun and we loved seeing our wonderful family and friends come out and support our little Aubree Grace.

{Singing Happy Birthday- nice candle, eh?}
{She loved her treats! I found out that Grandpa snuck her another cupcake while I wasn't looking, so she was on cloud 9}

{Aunt Madison, McCall and Uncle Tay Tay- Aubree is so lucky to have aunts and uncles on both sides of the family that LOVE her}

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY AUBREE!

We LOVE you so much!!

Big Girl

Aubree was in need of a "big girl" carseat like a month ago. She is so tall and had to squish her little legs to fit. Her Meme and Grammy were so nice to get her a carseat for her birthday.
She LOVED it. She always did so well in her other carseat, but as of late, she would scream every time we tried to put her in it.. So this was kind of a big deal for her.
Thanks to her wonderful grandmas!!

Look Who's 1

{January 15}

Aubree Grace Turns 1 this Saturday!
This little girl is our love and our life.
She is full of personality and has been since
the day she was born.
Here are a few things about Aubree at 1 Years Old.

-She LOVES food, can you tell?
-She loves her bottle too, but I don't think it will be hard to get her off of it. She's never been extremely dependant on it. Her parents have though.
-Her new favorite foods are eggs, PB sandwich, tortillas, green beans, any fruit and baby yogurt.
-She is ALL OVER the place now! She loves to crawl around and stand up on anything she can.
-I know when she's laughing in her crib that she is standing up; when I go in there to put her down she thinks it's a game and stands right back up.
-After the billionth time of playing this back and forth, I think she got the hint that cribs are for sleeping only.
-She is naughty.. Like "I'm really nervous she'll be the mean kid in nursery" naughty.
-She is into hitting and scratching; I grab her hands and say "No, Aubree!" and she cracks up. Oh boy. I have my work cut out for me.
-She loves her grandmas. Whenever My mom or Juli is around she wants to go straight to them.
-She also LOVES Matt. When he gets home she wants nothing to do with me.
-She's sensitive to sounds. She has been since the day she was born. She has a book that makes animal sounds when you push the buttons and she sat on it about a week ago and made the sounds go off. It scared her so bad she wants nothing to do with it now!
-She loves music. Sometimes the only way I can get her to eat is by singing to her, even at restaurants or other public places. That's saying how desperate I am for her to eat fast because I am not a singer by any means.
-She says "mama, dada, uh oh" and she whispers "wow." It's so cute :)
-She has her moments and tests my patience, but she is such a sweet little girl.

We love you SO much Aubree. You make us so happy, baby girl!!

January

I started this blog for 2 reasons: 1) Keep family and friends that live far away posted on what is up 2) Scrapbooking. I don't love scrapbooking.. at all.. but I want my pictures to be on cute paper and look awesome without the work. I've done 2 scrapbooks since we've been married and I'm really happy with how they turned out but good gosh it was a lot of work. So, I'm pretty happy about whoever invented blog books and for my friends who told me that blogging is how they do their scrapbooking and it's really easy. From this time hence forth... this blog will be in scrapbook mode. I copied my sis-in-law, Kelsey (I find that I copy a lot of things from her) on how she does her scrapbooking layouts with my Heritage Makers book last year and I have been thrilled with it.. Less pages and less time and you can still make it cute. Hopefully it works out!
